Woodlawn Santa Update

When I answered my phone today, and the person on the other end gave a rousing, “Ho ho ho!” I knew Sharon Ehrig was doin’ o-kay.  And she is!

Also known as “Woodlawn Santa,” Sharon Ehrig is one of the bright lights in Wallingford.   I know some of you are waiting to hear how Sharon is doing after her breast cancer surgery, so I’ll just say it:  she’s doing great!  The surgery did not reveal any new concerns or problems.  Yay!  Now she moves right on to radiation.   And after that, I bet she starts shopping for Christmas ornaments while they’re still on sale after the holidays.

Til then, keep sending Sharon your good wishes.  And thanks for your thoughts and kind words so far!  Sharon has really enjoyed hearing from everyone.

I’ll quote her one more time, “Ho ho ho!!!!”

thank you for the update. Santa was so kind to my daughter last year. As a toddler, she was a bit overwhelmed by Santa (any Santa) and all the lights & decorations. We visited on a clear, quiet evening, when very few other people were around. Santa spent a lot of time talking with her, then we walked around and looked at all the decorations, went back to say good night to Santa – and Santa gave her a bell! It’s now a prized ornament on our Christmas tree.
we moved to the eastside this year but I was trying to figure out which evening we’d come back across the lake just to see the special Santa. glad to hear that the condition was caught early, and that the surgery went well. We’ll look forward to seeing Santa again next year.
Ho Ho Ho! Happy New Year!
