What in the Wallingford

Jordan Jordan March 31, 2011 Comments are off

You know what this neighborhood needs? More gargoyles. You can never have too many gargoyles, in our opinion.

Last week’s What in the Wallingford contest photo was pretty easy to recognize as a gargoyle, but we had lots of guesses as to which gargoyle it was. As it happens, it’s on a house on the corner of NE 54th and 1st Ave NE. Sadly, it seems that whoever lives in that house is not a Wallyhood reader, as nobody responded (correctly) “that’s the gargoyle on MY house”.

Congratulations to Jimmy A, selected randomly from amongst the correct answers submitted. Jimmy, you are the Keymaster and win a sharp lookin’ t-shirt from Wallingford’s oldest Irish bar, Murphy’s (celebrating their 30th anniversary!).

This week’s contest features a photo that may look old-time, but we promise you we took with our iPhone, no Photoshop funny business, just a quick snap.

Do you know where we took this photo? Fill in the form below to enter the contest, and you’re eligible to win a FABULOUS prize to be announced next week (if you’re reading this in e-mail on the P-I, click here to get to the entry form.)
