  • Post author:

A truck overturned this morning on Wallingford Avenue at 44th at approximately 9:20am when it collided with an SUV. No reports yet on specific injuries, but medics were on site and the incident required “heavy rescue.” We’ll try to give more details as we receive them. Hope everyone’s o.k.

Deja vu. A car overturned in that exact spot last year. I hope everyone is ok!

Jullia’s on the corner, used to be my favorite when I lived in Wallingford. What a way to be startled from enjoying your eggs & o.j.

The visibility is really bad at that intersection, especially going east on 44th. That is because cars park illegally on the corners of 44th/Wallingford. You have to go into the intersection to see if cars are coming from the north. Not much better at 43rd, same problem. And the same is true on 44th going west. You can’t really see oncoming traffic from the south, same reason. Cars parked up to the corner.
They are parked right under the sign that says no parking 30 feet. I have seen the parking enforcement person drive right by this dangerous situation.
