Wallingford Weekend

In order to ensure a sunny weekend, we must – each and every one of us – plan on spending our weekend indoors.  You understand, yes?  This week’s Wallingford Weekend will feature a few indoor performances for you to consider.  And hey, if you see a good play or a fantastic opera, AND we get sunshine, well, drop me a thank you note:

  • Friday night, Stone Soup Theater kicks off their (XX) Fest, a festival of plays written exclusively by women.   Week One of the festival will feature 8pm “shorties,” which are very brief one act plays.  Learn more here.
  • Saturday you can check out the Garrett Fisher Ensemble’s new opera, “Kocho.”  The Wayward Music Series @ Chapel Performance Space in the Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Ave. N, 4th floor).  Details here
  • Also on Saturday, Wine World is hosting an indoor Art Walk to showcase the store, the wine, the art – and the new wine gallery.  2pm – 5pm.  More here.
  • Sunday, Fremont’s Moisture Festival wraps up for the year at Hale’s Ales Palladium. The Moisture Festival’s mission is to enrich the community through an affordable annual live comedy/variete festival.  Sunday performances are at 3pm & 7:30pm.   Get the deets here.
