Bike to dinner on Tuesday

Margaret Margaret June 27, 2011 Comments are off

Want to have dinner out tomorrow night? Grab your bike instead of driving, and head to one of these host restaurants participating in the second annual Spoke & Food event. The restaurants will in turn donate 20% off their total revenues towards the Children’s Garden Education programs at Seattle Tilth.

If you want to ride in the neighborhood, Julia’s is one of the participating restaurants. If you’re interested in going a little further, look at the list of host restaurants here. Organizers also tell us that “each of the host restaurants will have a Spoke & Food volunteer onsite who will provide you with info about the event and Seattle Tilth while also collecting any additional donations you make.”

For a little pre-celebration, Hub and Bespoke (513 N. 36th St.) in Fremont is hosting a little gathering from 5-7pm, complete with some snacks and beer and wine; and if you’ve got some bike-centric poetry in you, you’re welcome to join in the poetry reading.

Happy biking!
