Garage Sale For Cancer

Jordan Jordan July 1, 2011 2 Comments

If you’re out enjoying the sunshine and maybe looking for a bargain this Saturday, stop in at 2413 N 41st. St. Mimi and Sandy holding a garage sale as a fundraiser for a fund to buy a house for people to stay in while visiting Seattle for cancer treatment. We’re not quite sure how to scale the economics of a garage sale to buying a house, but Sandy has Stage 4 cancer, and our heart goes out to anyone and everyone with that in their lives.

What a great cause! We will try to stop by. Sending my very best wishes to Sandy and Mimi.

Wallyhood, please consider changing the title of your post. As it reads, it sounds as though the garage sale is being held to promote cancer. I know that’s not the intent, but the sale is not ‘for cancer,’ but rather in support of families affected by cancer. Thanks.

Thank you so much for putting this on Wallyhood news for us and thank you for your good wishes. I hope to meet some neighbors in the process. you are welcome to stop by anytime.
    Mimi has been wonderful.
I had to laugh when I read Sea’s post.
I have called it a fund raiser, in hopes that everyone understands why I am doing this. It will definitely not be easy for me. In trying to find things that make me feel cozy in my home, Now, it has become too full of things. Mimi has mentioned a time or two that I need to get rid of some of my stuff…so I finally am listening to her.
    Take care, Sandy
