music festivals by local musicians in Meridian Park (4649 Sunnyside Ave N) in the next two weeks. This coming Sunday, August 7th from 11 am – 7 pm, is the Wallingford Music Festival. That’s their poster at right, and we know what you’re thinking: homage to the Egyptian revolution by kindergartners, or reminisce from a DMT trip spent watching the TeleTubbies? Difficult to say.
Don’t worry about it too much. Here’s the point: nine local bands, many based right here in Wallingford, playing for free all day in a park you can walk to.

- 11:40am The Swan Burgers (Christian / Gospel / Folk / Indie)
- 12:20pm Sebastian Clark (folk freak-out)
- 1pm The Gentlemen Gluttons (Americana / folk rock)
- 2pm The Springboards (scuzzy blues funk)
- 3pm The Diving Bell
- 4pm The Hoot Hoots (rock and fun time)
- 5pm The High Life(reggae / jazz / latin / caribbean)
- 6pm VALIS (rock / alternative)
