This Friday, October 21, Derby Salon is hosting its fifth annual “Beautify for Breast Cancer” event at Wine World (400 NE 45th St.) beginning at 6pm. The fundraiser is in honor of Stacey Piper, a former stylist of Derby Salon who lost her life to breast cancer, leaving behind her daughter, 6 year-old Peyton Piper. Derby will donate all proceeds from the night to breast cancer research and to Peyton Piper’s benevolent fund.

The event includes a hair show, “Locks of Ages…Travel Through the Tresses of Time”, beginning at 7pm. A silent auction runs through 8pm and includes the following items:

A Hobo bag, gift cards from Agua Verde, Triple door, Skillet, Ride the Duck, Yuen Lui, Community Fitness, Cinebarre, Hidden Hand & Slave to the Needle tattoo & soooo much more! Plus, donate $20 at the door and get entered into a raffle for ONE YEAR of facials from Derby Salon! And you can share them!! Come down to show your support!

This is a family-friendly event and will include live music, a cake walk, and a performance by an 8 year-old magician. You can RSVP by calling Derby Salon: 206-526-1470, or by hopping over to their Facebook page.
