Seattle Bike Blog reminds us to be safe this holiday weekend

Tom over at Seattle Bike Blog posted a pic of an accident that happened on the Burke Gilman Trail this afternoon. The photo was sent to the blog by Wallyhood neighbor Geoff. It seems the car, pictured below, crashed and came to rest on the Burke Gilman Trail @N. 36th St. and N. Pacific. The incident happened around 2:00pm this afternoon and the trail was reopened by 2:45. No ambulances were called to the scene, according to the 911 report. Be…

So, I was walking to my weekly pickup frisbee game around noon yesterday, and as I was passing QFC there were two men with about 20 EMTs tending to them. I stopped to talk with another man at the bus stop about what happened, and two more city police pulled up and began to arrest the men, but I was late for my game and went on my way. An early design guidance meeting for a four-story structure at 3636 Stone Way N. will be held on Monday, December 5 at 8pm at University Heights Center (5031 University Way NE, Room 209).
