Wallingford Etsy?

Jordan Jordan December 3, 2011 18 Comments

We got a note recently from a Wallingford-based artist who sales her work on Etsy, an Internet-based marketplace for handmade (and vintage) crafts and goods. What with all the gift-buying going on this time of year, we thought it would be nice to try to help keep it local, even over the Internet.

So, if you sell your work on Etsy (or otherwise sell your handmade products onlin) and you live in Wallingford, send us a link to your store and a blurb about what you do. We’ll run a round-up of all the local Etsy-ers next week. And let us know whether Wallingford-buyers can pick-up!

What a great idea! I live in Wallingford and have several online shops, not Etsy, but my shops do offer unique apparel and gifts. Here are a couple of URLs:

    Thanks! 🙂

I am another Etsy/Wallingford hybrid. I create a garden/foodie gift called Garden Bon Bons – they look like chocolates but “This candy is for planting, not eating!”. They are available at my shop online and in downtown Seattle at Liave on Western opposite Harbor Steps. Petals in Fremont has also started carrying them.

Sounds great! I live in Wallingford and have a small business called “Dotted Line”. It’s a line of hand-made jewelry incorporating semi-precious stones, hammered metal designs, and one of a kind charms and medallions that I find in Europe and the Middle East. My website is DottedLineJewels.com.

I work out of my studio (known as The StuStuStudio) in Wallingford. I don’t have regular retail hours, but do studio visits by appointment. I will be having my annual Open Studio Holiday Party this Wednesday, December 7th, for Artwalk, where I will be featuring my work, and the work of a couple of other local artists (YES, Im still throwing my own artwalk events every month!!). Food, drinks, music, great gift buying – the more the merrier, all are welcome!

Another Etsy seller in Wallingford here! When I’m not working in the costume shop at Seattle Rep, I create handmade floral arrangements out of paper:

    Hi!
I’m a Wallingford resident, a barista at Fuel coffee, and the proud owner of an etsy shop. I make vintage inspired, reclaimed jewelry and wearables. All my beads, seaglass, and wood pieces are NOT purchased new, either found or salvaged. Feel free to browse my etsy shop, or see some of my jewelry up close at Amita in the Wallingford center.

Thank you for the opportunity to promote Wallingford artists and designers.

I am a Wallingford resident and a knitting kninja. My Etsy shop has hand knit and crocheted accessories. I make custom order sweaters that are sculpted to your curves, preferring to create my own designs using natural fibers. I also love to teach people to knit and crochet.

Great idea, thanks for doing this! Maybe the folks on here could also band together and do a small holiday craft fair? That way everyone can see stuff in person and get a chance to meet the artists. And the artists can get a chance to meet each other!

    Hey everyone.
I am a Wallingford Resident who designs and builds backpacks and messenger bags. I do not have any bags for sale on Etsy right now, as I have been taking orders on Facebook.

    Hello,
My husband and I are artists that live in Wallingford. You can visit either http://www.alexgarlandphotography.smugmug.com or http://www.etsy.com/people/ecofreako to buy things on Etsy. 🙂 Thanks for supporting local artists!!

I love Josh’s idea (comment #12) about the possiblity of us all getting together for a craft fair! I know that there is empty space in Wallingford center and I know the manager who runs the center so I could inquire about potentially doing this. Obviously it would have to be cost effective for everyone but would be happy to look into this if people are game!

Also, I make a lot of treasuries on Etsy and will definately feature all the local artists who have posted on this blog and that have shops on Etsy as I think that this is a fabulous opportunity to support and bring visibility to everyone’s work!

    Cheers,

    Christine

Hi! I’m so excited to learn there are so many of us! 🙂

I’m a proud Wallingford resident that makes and screenprints undies from old tshirts. You can check out my shop, La Vie en Orange, here: http://www.LaVieEnOrange.etsy.com

It is great to see so many of us!

I would be very willing to do a craft fair. I love craft fairs (and always wanted a stall of my own when I was younger.)

I’m a Wallingford resident and I make unique buttons featuring my art and jewelry with semi-precious stones.
