If you’ve been on Latona at NE 40th in the last week or so, chances are you’ve probably seen this house and wondered what in the heck was up with the spots.

Well, we learned that Green Canopy is the company behind the playful polka-dots. The Fremont-based company buys dilapidated homes throughout Seattle and renovates them using sustainable materials and by making them energy-efficient. This 1924 house, which they’ve dubbed “Keaton” after Buster Keaton, will lose its spots by Friday so that the construction crew can put up the siding. Neighborhood Greenway Meetup Wednesday

Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is seeking comments from Wallingford neighbors about our neighborhood greenway project and the Seattle Bicycle Master Plan, in general. If you have a moment, voice your opinion here before December 22. The page also has a link to the PowerPoint from SDOT’s open house presentation last week at Hamilton.

I was wondering if you could spread the word about an accident that occured in front of the Wallingford QFC on Friday, November 4th. That morning, I was hit by a car — making a right-turn from 45th St onto Wallingford Ave — while I crossed the crosswalk. The car did not stop after striking me, and continued to drive northbound on Wallingford. I hoped to send this email out earlier, but have been recooperating from a surgery repairing my left shoulder the past few weeks.

White Moustache in Wallingford

White Moustache Urban Adventure Company hosts all-inclusive eating tours for individuals or groups. The company features various themes to choose from including “Streetfood” or “Cupcake Safari” and for $200, a couple can eat and drink their way around the city via tour bus.

Recently, White Moustache did a mash-up called “Musical Plates” that combined a foodie tour with indie band Goldfinch. They created a promotional video highlighting the tour which also features Wallingford’s Satay and Cantinetta.
