Host a Foreign Exchange Student

Margaret Margaret April 26, 2012 Comments are off

Have you ever considered opening your home to a foreign exchange student? It’s a great opportunity to learn more about other cultures and to provide a visiting child with a glimpse into the daily life of an American family.

International Student Exchange (ISE) is seeking host families for visiting high school students during the 2012/13 school year. The students come from Germany, Brazil, Sweden, Spain, Vietnam, Austria, Denmark, South Korea, China, Norway, Belgium, Thailand, Japan, and France. ISE provides visiting students with spending money and full health insurance. They ask families to provide a bed (shared room is okay with similar age range) and meals eaten with the family. Host families do not need to have teenagers of their own; young families as well as empty nesters also make excellent high school student hosts.

For more information about the students and the program, contact Jamin Henderson at 360-661-0552 or[email protected].
