Cats and chickens out and about

A reader posted in the Forums on Friday about a cat, but also asked us to post photos, in case someone recognizes him: I'm posting this for my neighbor, Mila. Her cat brought home a playmate, and she/he's pretty much moved in. It's a big kitty, maybe 16 pounds (?) shy but friendly. Mila's taking very good care of her/him, and has named it Destiny. Has dark tabby like markings. If this is your cat please call Mila at 206-525-3716.   Meanwhile,…

Retriever statue stolen

Sharon wrote to tell us that someone swiped something unique and sentimental from her porch on Thursday morning: Sometime during the morning of April 19th, a statue of a retriever-type dog was taken from the front porch of my residence in Wallingford.  The statue was about 14 inches tall, off white, fabricated from a clay like material, and worth probably about $100.  It was received as a gift.  The dog originally held a stick in it's mouth with a welcome sign suspended…

Scattered papers

Danielle wrote to tell us about some papers she saw scattered around N. 37th and Wallingford Avenue N. early Thursday morning: This morning while leaving for work, at about 8:15am, I found papers scattered on the sidewalk in front of my house. They looked like they might be important to someone so I started looking at what they were, and realized that one of them was a tax form with someone's social security number. Another was an invoice for a Starbucks…

Missing or seeking kittens?

This came to us today via "Seattle Meridian": At 10:30 am this morning, my kids and I saw four kittens at the Meridian playground (west middle entrance).  If someone is missing them, they are there.  Although, I'm guessing someone dumped the kittens as they were shivering and looked confused.  So, if anyone wants kittens, there are two gray kittens and two whitish kittens.  All were friendly and wanted lots of pets!
