Farmstand

Jordan Jordan June 23, 2012 5 Comments

If you didn’t make it to the Wallingford Farmer’s Market for your local produce this past Wednesday, here’s your reminder that today, Saturday, the City Grown Seattle Farmstand stand at 41st and Eastern will be offering freshly harvested crops from 10 am – 2 pm today. City Grown vegetables are grown in plots around Wallingford, Ballard and other nearby neighborhoods.

This week’s harvest includes spinach, lettuces, kale, chard, carrots, beets, bunching onions, romanesco cauliflower, broccolini, parsley, and bok choy.

On an unrelated note, Heidi asked us to to keep an eye out for her lost cat, info below.

Heidi, kitty’s can wander pretty fast, but you should say what area / cross streets your “BEETLE” wandered away from in wallyhood …. it will help with locating him. … And hope you find him soon & well.

We saw one that looked like this yesterday, it stood out as it looked ‘spooked’ and not at all friendly.

Hard to remember exactly where we saw the cat, but probably on the corner of 44th and Sunnyside.

Hi all, Update on where Beetle was last seen: 46th and Bagley, on dead-end into Meridian Park. Thank you for looking and will check around 44th/Sunnyside, that is a possibility!
