‘Big Night’ Outdoor Movie at Cantinetta

Margaret Margaret August 15, 2012 Comments are off

Tomorrow evening (Thursday, 8/16) Cantinetta (3650 Wallingford Avenue North) will be hosting an outdoor screening of Big Night. Stanley Tucci and Tony Shalhoub star as brothers (Primo and Secondo) who own a failing Italian restaurant, and make a go of one special night featuring culinary delights and a big-time jazz musician to perform. If you haven’t seen the movie, you absolutely must go down to see it. And what a perfect backdrop for it, too.

Want more motivation? Cantinetta will be serving up shaved ice, adult-beverage style, including Limoncello Shaved Ice, Aperol Shaved Ice, and Honey Lavender Shaved Ice. It’s for a good cause, too! A percentage of their shaved ice sales will go to Treehouse, serving Foster Kids from King County.

From Cantinetta’s Facebook event page:

Ladies, put on your floral dress, coif your hair and lay on the red lipstick. Men, throw on a summer jacket and slick back your hair.

This Thursday night, we’re celebrating Seattle summer with extravagant style. The barsmiths are handcrafting refreshing shaved ice delights and we’re screening the 1996 hit movie Big Night on a big screen outside!

Make dinner reservations now and join Primo and Secondo with good friends, great food, and of course a tasty shaved ice cocktail.

Choose:
Limoncello Shaved Ice
Aperol Shaved Ice
Honey Lavender Shaved Ice

By the way, we’re donating a percentage of all shaved ice sales to the foster kid heroes at Treehouse!

Ice starts shaving at 5. Movie starts at 8:30.
