I was walking past the papered-over storefront of the expired La Casa Azul today and noticed that a liquor license application has been posted on the front door. The replacement is called Chabela’s Bar Grill, apparently.
The liquor license is registered to Zaidozir, Inc and Mr. Andres Rizo Lopez, but that’s about all we know for now. There was a restaurant named Chabela’s in New York that served Dominican / Caribbean food, if that’s a clue.
