Self Defense Workshop at Oom Yung Doe

  • Post author:

Greg Martin from Oom Yung Doe (3845 Bridge Way) wrote to tell us that the school’s April self defense workshop is this Wednesday night, (4/17) at 6:30pm. Here’s an overview of the class:

You will learn a simple, but powerful self-defense technique that can be used against many different attacks such as a grab to the wrist, arm, shoulder or hair. The same technique can even be used against a punch or a choke! With this technique even a small woman can incapacitate a much larger attacker.

If this is the same workshop as was given March 28, that was an excellent class, fast-paced, and covered a lot of ground. It’s amazing how much practical know -how she gets across in such a short time, with lots of hands-on practice. It was also great to see so many mothers & daughters there.

this business completely spammed the neighborhood last week – booo for bad business practices that don’t make me want to use them! they left flyers all over peoples cars (door handles, under the and porches and with the weather they blew all over and created litter). i hope they’re more respectful in the future of the neighborhood.

I’m also really displeased with this businesses advertising tactics. Ever since they moved to Bridge Way they have been polluting the neighborhood with their tacky sandwich boards. I just noticed today that they put up a gigantic, ugly sign on their building. I don’t want to support a local business that doesn’t seem to care about the aesthetics of the neighborhood.
