Grab some funding for your Neighborhood Night Out

Seattle Night OutSeattle’s annual Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 6, which means it’s time to register; but did you know that you can apply for the city’s Small Sparks Fund to cover the cost of your block party? Yup, that’s what Jenny Frankl from Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods tells us:

The $1000 Small Sparks Fund provides matching funds for neighborhood-initiated projects that promote community engagement.  Your Night Out activity may qualify!

Seriously –Block Party Outreach, Educational Fairs, Bike Parades, Neighborhood Clean Ups, Basketball Tournaments, Face-painting, Entertainment for your BBQ – think about it.

VERY IMPORTANT:  You must apply by July 8thThat seems far away now, but it will be here before you know it, so start moving on it now.
