Bicycle ‘Alley Cat’ Poker Run Tomorrow

alley-cat-500The inaugural free bicycle “Alley Cat/Poker Run/Wine Tour” event takes place tomorrow, (Saturday, July 20) from 12-5pm. starting at Wine World w/stops at 4 other Wallingford/Fremont locations. Sounds intriguing? Here’s the skinny:

Bicyclists will receive a few free tastes of wine at each stop and a playing card. The person with the best “hand” accumulated along the way wins prizes at the end from each of the host wine shops. You must arrive on a bike to participate.

1st Stop –  Wine World & Spirits 400 NE 45th St. (Try some Washington/Seattle Wine Award Winners)

2nd Stop  – City Cellars –  1710 N. 45th St. (Sample French Red, White, And Rose’)

3rd Stop – Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizza, Stone Way4411 Stone Way N. (Sample small slices of various pizzas)

4th Stop – Fremont Wine 3601 Fremont Avenue – (Try some Washington vs. France wines. Cold bottled water will be available)

5th Stop –  The Barrel Thief (Fremont)3417 Evanston (Get your fifth card and try some sparklers from 3 countries!) The Barrel Thief is also holding their grand re-opening on Saturday evening.

Put together your five cards and and the best hand each hour (from 2:00PM to 5:00PM) wins a gift certificate!
