Patty’s Eggnest and Turkey House in Ravenna

How many of you remember when Patty’s Eggnest was open in the Seamonster Lounge spot on N. 45th St? According to Yelp, that was back in 2005. Eons ago. If you peruse some of the Yelp reviews, you’ll see the popular breakfast spot was missed from the moment it left.

Well, good news for Patty’s fans: Reader Joan tells us that she spotted some action at the Chabela’s space on Tuesday, and when she asked someone, they told her that Patty’s Eggnest would be opening soon.

For those of you who haven’t been to Patty’s (several locations include Ravenna, Northgate, and Ballard – each location is independently owned.) Here’s a description from their website:

We serve delicious, hearty meals made to order and made from scratch with fresh, choice ingredients.  In a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere, we’ll be happy to fill your table with home-cooked breakfast favorites.  Fresh-squeezed orange juice, Swedish pancakes, scrumptious scrambles, and hearty chicken-fried steak are just some of the dishes that we feature on our menu at all locations.  We also feature tasty lunches, like hot delicious sandwiches, big burgers with seasoned fries, and fresh salads.  For several of our locations, we are open for dinner hours as well, serving fresh roasted turkey dinners and soup made-from-scratch.

Stop  by for a warm welcome, a hearty and satisfying meal, and a great family environment.  We hope you’ll be dining with us soon!

We contacted Patty’s but haven’t yet heard when they’ll be open; but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear something.

Did Chabela’s fail, or are they going to share space with Patty’s EggNest?

  9. Margaret

    Chabela’s closed.

I’ve eaten there already! Good food, lots of choices, beware of NOT being able to park in the gas station lot.

Patty’s was our Sunday brunch venue until they left Wallingford. And we would still find them out in the hinterlands when we had the yen. The gyros omelet is my favorite.

Good luck to them, in the spot apparently doomed for Mexican restaurants (Chabela’s, Casa Azul, Guadelajara). Should be a great fit for the neighborhood.
