Project Cool for Back-to-School

Want to help out children in need of school supplies and books? Alphabet Soup Children’s Books (1406 N. 45th St.) is participating in Project Cool for Back-To-School — a program through the Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness that aims to fill 1,300 backpacks this fall with school supplies, books, and toiletries and distribute them to homeless children.

Alphabet Soup Children’s Books’ owner, Janet Cavallo, tells us how to participate:

Purchase a book for donation to Project Cool for Back-to-School and get 25% off your entire purchase! * We’ll also be collecting books for donation that are on the wish list posted on our blog: alphabetsoupchildrensbooks@blogspot.com.I think the idea behind that is to get good quality books for the kids. I also like to tell folks, if it’s a book they’d be happy for their own child to receive, then it’s a good book to donate.

For more information on their program & how to donate and volunteer, check out their Facebook page.

We will be promoting Project Cool for Back to School through mid -September.

* May not be combined with any other discount or sale.

The actual URL for the website is http://alphabetsoupchildrensbooks.blogspot.com/ I knew the @ had to be wrong and thankfully a quick Google search found the right one.

It’s a great reason to go in and buy books.
