Spoke & Food = Biking & Dining for a Cause

18036_306130449855_2853422_nThe fourth annual Spoke & Food takes place next Tuesday, July 30, from 5:30 to 9:30pm. That’s when folks hop on their bikes and visit one (or more) of the 19 participating restaurants, who, in turn, donate 20% or more of all diners’ checks during the event. 100% of those proceeds go directly to a Seattle-area non-profit.

How cool is that? Very, I’d say! In fact last year, $4,450 was raised for FamilyWorks. This year, the event will benefit Bike Works, a non-profit that works for kids, bikes, and the community through their family biking programming, encouraging and supporting parents and kids in riding bikes together.

Participating restaurants include Julia’s here in Wallingford, as well as 50 North (across from U Village), Duke’s Chowder House (in Green Lake), and Pete’s Fremont Fire Pit in Fremont. Here’s the complete list.

Happy biking (and eating!)
