Spring is a time for renewal – what do you want to re-commit to this April? At Wallingford Community Senior Center, find opportunities to enjoy music & dance, learn about resources that are available for you or just come together in community to find more joy! Check out these programs being offered in April:

jazz standardsJazz Standards Concert

Enjoy a piano and vocal duo performing favorite jazz standards during lunch! Local Wallingford Baristas Zachary Rushing and Clarkia Cobb perform jazz in various settings across the city and enjoy being a part of the vibrant music scene Seattle has to offer.

BrainDance – For Mobility, Balance and Fun!brain dance

BrainDance promotes reorganization of the neurological system and improves circulation, core support, connectivity, and alignment. Build movement confidence and improve balance of body and mind! No dance experience necessary.

All fitness levels welcome. Can be done sitting or standing. Led by Terry Goetz of the Center for Creative Dance.

Wednesdays 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29 – 1:30 – 2:30 pm
$5 members / $7 public suggested donation per class.

“Happy Hour” – Meaning-Making through Ritualritual 4

Rituals can celebrate, unite, begin or end, and -most of all- honor what is important in our lives. Come together to learn about creating rituals for bringing meaning to experience, invoking positive energy, or marking a milestone. You may participate in or observe a small ritual we will do together, as an example. It is a non-religious activity. Part of our series of “Happy Hour” programs – an hour to stress less and find joy. Led by Lanie Riley, LCSW, LMP. One of a series of “Happy Hour” programs, to help you stress less and find joy!
