Caroling Fundraiser Thank You

Eric Eric December 30, 2015 1 Comment

Bette wants to thank Wallingford for helping out through the Caroling Party fundraiser:

The response to the Caroling Party fundraiser for Patty and Joe of the Holiday House was an astounding success! As of Christmas Eve, we have raised $2855.26. (The 26 cents was from a toddler who asked her Mommy it she could give her own money too.) I got a cashiers check made out to Patty for the amount raised so far and wrapped it inside the beautiful book of photos assembled by neighbor, Helen. A representative group of neighbors, children and dogs delivered the gift from a grateful community on Christmas Day!

Most importantly, read Patty’s Thanks to the community here:

It is the day after Christmas and I cannot tell you what a Happy, Happy Christmas you wonderful neighbors gave to Joe and me.

Rama and Tania Arumugam Hino and their boys, Paco and Aria (and the family dogs, Idli and Cisco), and Bette and Doug Jingling brought your wonderful gifts to Joe and me at daughter Angela’s house on Christmas Day.
You should see the beautiful picture album created by Helen Fallat and all the contributors. I am still weeping with joy over it. My whole family was delighted to see the pictures of our decorated house over the years and different holidays. Pictures of neighbors, their children and dogs, some in costume, some not, the newlyweds, twenty pages of beautiful pictures. This album is amazing, I wish I knew how to share it with each of you. Helen put in an immense amount of time and thought to create such a beautiful display of pictures.
And then to top it off they delivered personal Christmas cards from Lisa and Maggie and the whole Arumugam Hino Family.
Finally to climax the whole gift giving they presented my daughter with a bouquet of flowers and a cashiers check to me and Joe of the contributions and donations you gave to us.
What fantastic angels you all are to have given us so much. I will deposit this into the replacement contents account I have set up to replace our losses. This will help replace the decorations we lost.
We cannot thank you enough. Thank you, thank you to everyone who sent pictures, donated monies, especially the little girl who gave .26 from her piggy bank, thank you to those who helped create and pay for the production of the picture album.
It is our wish that each of you had as happy a Christmas this year that you gave to Joe and me.
Thank you one and all and a Happy, Happy Blessed New Year to each one.

    Patty and Joe
