Meaningful Movie on 7/7 at 7!

Lynn Post Lynn Post July 5, 2017 1 Comment

This Friday evening, Meaningful Movies in Wallingford is showing the documentary Sustainable, providing food for thought on the future of agriculture.

From the website, Sustainable

weaves together expert analysis of America’s food system with the story of one remarkable farmer, Marty Travis, who is creating a future for his family and his farming community by adopting sustainable agriculture. The film examines the inter-relationships between the environment, economics and public health.

Dr. David Montgomery, a professor at the University of Washington and author of the recent book Growing A Revolution, will be at the event to provide commentary and answer questions after the movie. He also will have signed copies of his book available for purchase!

Meaningful Movies presents social justice documentary films on the first Friday of every month, along with a forum for open community discussions.

When: Friday, July 7, 2017, 7:00 p.m.
Where: 5019 Keystone Place N (Keystone Congregational Church)
Cost: Suggested donation at the door (no one refused entry)
