Little Big Burger coming to Smith and Burns

Jordan Jordan August 29, 2017 12 Comments

On the heels of Wallyburger joining the 45th Street lineup, Wallingford will soon be home to another burger joint, Portland-based Little Big Burger. Their menu is spare, offering little more than burgers, fries, rootbeer floats and beer, but the fries are truffle and the burgers are Portland:

1/4 lb. of cascade natural beef, brioche buns, local cheeses, fresh veggies and camden’s catsup! everything is delivered fresh daily, and cooked to order in an open kitchen.

The new shop is to be located on 45th Street in the Smith and Burns building and will join a Little Big Burger in Green Lake Village. No word yet on an opening date.

Seems like the last business we need in Wallingford is a hamburger joint to go with our hamburger joints. Another bakery (to go with our new bakery!)like Boulangerie, would much better. Or…other suggestions?

I am looking forward to having this open. I was unimpressed re the other place. The new Mexican place looks really inviting.

Is this a take-out “shop” or a come in and sit down place we can go to for a meal?
Yes, we have a few burger places in our area but not so many that serve truly delicious all beef burgers. We’re looking for a burger place in or near Wallingford to go to for a sit down meal. Our favorite for decades has been unreliable lately.

There is another new business opening right across street from Bala in a store front. I was driving by and could not read the sign well, but it is in large letters. Go! Maybe soemone will write an article about it.

Interesting. If you read the press release it looks like the brand is owned by a Charlotte, NC company that owns several other brands, including Hooters. Maybe support Wallyburger instead.

Apparently the company that owns Hooters did buy this burger chain

Perhaps the company can open a new erotic bakery.

The suntan salon at 45th & Stone Way N.. is gone. Brain Freeze has a small sign on door of old Auto Parts store bu tnothing inside to speak of. A huge can of cigarette butts lies at door. Now, on to the Noble aptswhere a lot of construction materials ar einside and a door sign says smoking is supposed to be 25 ft away. A locke port-a0pottie sits yb the door.
