Green Lake Pathway of Lights Happening Right Now – Dec 8th, 4:30pm – 7:30pm

Ben Robinson Ben Robinson December 8, 2018 Comments are off

I take full responsibility as the editor of the week for missing the announcement of this annual event.

It is truly last minute.  Tonight it is the annual Green Lake Pathway of Lights from 4:30 – 7:30pm.

The holidays are on the horizon, and we’re already getting into the spirit of the season as we prepare for the annual Pathway of Lights! This FREE family favorite holiday event is on Saturday, December 8 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Come stroll the glimmering Green Lake circuit, paths, and docks which will be lit with thousands of twinkling candles. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and live holiday music while you wander through the magic of the sparkling lights.
Local musicians will perform at four sites around the lake:
• The Green Lake Community Center on the east side
• The Green Lake Small Craft Center on the south side
• The Bathhouse Theater on the north side
• The Arch on the east of side of the community center/pool. (Sponsored by The Hearthstone at Green Lake)

Community members attending the Pathway of Lights are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation that benefits FamilyWorks, and attendees are also welcome to bring their own lights to add to the ambiance of the evening’s atmosphere.

Look out for the 2nd year with hot air balloons at Pathway of Lights! The Balloon Glow goes from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and is weather dependent, so let’s hope for a clear night!

This Seattle tradition is presented in partnership with the Green Lake Advisory Council and our title sponsor, Green Lake Masonic Lodge #149, and with our community partners including: PCC Community Markets, The Lunchbox, KIND, Lime, Aegis Living at Ravenna, The Hearthstone at Green Lake, and Associated Recreation Council.
