A flock of feather babies

Walking through the neighborhood with my family today, I came across a creepy/hilarious art installation in the gazebo of Meridian Park.

What in the world is this about?

And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.” (Revelation 16:1)

Since you titled your post “Birds of Meridian Park”, my mind immediately thought that these hanging horrors were put there to discourage swallows from nesting in those rafters, an annual summer problem. (Copious, slippery droppings, teeming with parasites.) And frankly, that’s the only answer I could think of that didn’t give me the creeps. Yikes.
