Hello neighbors,

NE 45th St and 8th Ave NE

This Saturday, April 8, crews plan to be in the area repairing existing storm drainage on NE 45th between 8th and 9th Ave NE. They also plan to perform saw cutting work ahead of the demolition and restoration work scheduled to occur in this same area in the coming weeks. A uniformed police officer will be on site to direct traffic. During this work you can expect:

  • Regular weekend work hours between 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Westbound lane closures
  • East and westbound traffic will be maintained
  • Temporary sidewalk closure between 8th and 9th avenues NE on the west side NE 45th St

NW Market St and 11th and 14th Ave NW

On Saturday, April 15, crews plan to be in the area performing electrical and signal installation work on NW Market St at both 11th and 14th avenues NW. A uniformed police officer will be on site to direct traffic. During this work you can expect:

  • East-west traffic will be maintained with lane closures
  • Flaggers will intermittently pause people walking and driving in the area while crews place poles in the ground
  • Temporary bus stop closures

N 46th St from Phinney Ave N to Green Lake Way N

On Saturday, April 29, crews plan to perform channelization and signal installation work on N 46th St from Phinney Ave N to Green Lake Way N. Day and nighttime work is planned for this area. During this work you can expect:

  • East-west traffic will be maintained with lane closures
  • Uniformed police officers will be present at all signals from Phinney Ave N to Green Lake Way N to assist traffic flow
  • Regular weekend work hours between 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Nighttime working hours starting at 7 PM
  • Minimal sidewalk impacts

NE 45th St between Brooklyn Ave NE and University Way NE

Starting as early as May, crews will upgrade the roadway and extending the southside curb on NE 45th St between Brooklyn Ave NE and University Way NE to improve access to transit. Crews plan to begin with roadway demolition and restoration work at NE 45th St and Brooklyn Ave NE. More specific information regarding impacts and potential closures will be provided as the work date is finalized.
