Second chance at trees

Mike Ruby Mike Ruby August 19, 2023 Comments are off

Not too long ago Wallyhood ran a story about an application deadline for a lottery for free trees from the City. Well the City had a few more of the large trees than they had applications. Here is your second chance to snag a free tree from the City. You can get an  Aptos Blue coastal redwood, Jubilee Alaska yellow cedar, Urban Pinnacle bur oak, and European beech, for your yard without a waitlist. They also have Decaf Kentucky coffee tree available for your yard with a short waitlist so there is a good chance of getting one.

These trees grow too large for a street tree location. That big purple tree that you can see from the Ship Canal Bridge off to the west in Wallingford is a European beech, so that is how large these get.

If you haven’t applied for trees this year, then you can apply here.

Remember to write down the workshop date that you choose as Survey Monkey does not send you an email receipt or a reminder.
