FamilyWorks’ 30th Birthday Block Party: Saturday July 19th

The following heads-up was received from Rehana Lanewala, Director of Development & Communications at FamilyWorks, about their 30th Birthday Block Party, which will be held this Saturday from 1 pm-4 pm at the Wallingford Presbyterian Church.

This is a fun, family-friendly event to celebrate 30 years of providing food access and family support programs, and we’d love for our neighbors to join us! I’m excited to share that WA State Representative Shaun Scott will be there and will say a few remarks.    Also hear from the Rev. Haley Ballast of the Wallingford Presbyterian Church, Executive Director Marcia Wright-Soika and Community Connector Anisa Nun.

We’re celebrating more than 130,000 people served at our Food Bank and more than 15,000 families served at our Family Resource Center over the last 30 years!

This block party is a celebration for the whole neighborhood!

Tickets are pay-what-you-can. We’re excited to celebrate with our whole community, and invite you to choose the ticket price that’s right for you. If a $0 ticket makes it possible for you to attend, you’re warmly encouraged to do so. If cost is not a barrier, we suggest a ticket price of $30/ticket for adults and $15/ticket for youth 12 and under. Contributions above that help cover the cost of free tickets and make this celebration inclusive for all.
