The Freeway Estates Community Orchard (FECO) plant sale returns for 2026 this Saturday afternoon, April 11th.
FECO was started in 2010 by a group of determined area volunteers when the plot was just grass and invasive plants. Today, they offer several events throughout the year, and the annual plant sale is one of them. The plant sale arrives just in time to kick off the gardening season, featuring veggie starts, flowers, native and ornamental plants, dahlia tubers, ornamental bulbs, fruiting plants, free seeds, and more.
Located at 6030 6th Ave NE, just east of Green Lake along the west side of I-5, the orchard is easily accessible by light rail via Roosevelt Station, or by bus routes 45, 62, and 67. The plant sale will run from 1 to 4 pm, or until inventory runs out.
