The day of the Wallyhood Neighborhood Meetup is fast approaching! This will be your opportunity to connect with the folks who help run this blog: the Wallyhood writers and editors. Let us know what you like, and even what you don’t like. Want to get involved? Learn how! And don’t forget to hobnob with your neighbors while you’re there.

  • Event: Wallyhood Neighborhood Meetup
  • Date: Thursday, May 28th
  • Time: 7–9 pm
  • Place: The Rebel, 309 NE 45th Street. This is the former site of Kate’s Pub, located about a block up the hill from I-5.
    • Walk through to the back room where the pool table is
  • Note: The Rebel is 21+

Interested in joining the Wallhood team? While we wouldn’t say no to a good, experienced editor, writers are in constant demand. Learn the inside dope about being a Wallyhood writer: What makes for a good story? How much time does it take? Do I have to be tech-savvy? What are the benefits?

Food and drink will be available. (Early arrivals will enjoy beers on us!) The Rebel has a wide assortment of pub fare, and Thursdays (as well as every Tuesday) are Taco T-Daze if you hang out until 8 pm. If you haven’t been, now is your chance to experience Wallingford’s hottest new watering hole. Perhaps you’ve dropped in only to discover there were no seats in the house. We’ve got you covered! Stephanie Kosmas, the owner of The Rebel, is reserving the back room for us.

See you there!
