Politico posted a story about millennials and housing affordability.  It is a long, feature length article.  Our own Wallingford neighborhood is used as the archetype for this battle playing out nationwide.  The main person in the story is  a young professional trying to change urban development.  The choice of accompanying image was done from convenience as it was the first image I found already uploaded on the Wallyhood site.  It does not connote any particular view of the site.

There is a time of day that is easily forgotten. Roughly 3am to 5am is too late for night and too early for day. If you send an email to someone at midnight, you are working hard burning the midnight owl. Send an email to someone at 3am, they ask if everything is ok. It is a strange time of day that brings out a unique side of a neighborhood. I spend a fair amount of time in these hours as I walk the dog and run through the neighborhood during these hours.

The Seattle Public Library has been expanding their events for awhile.    They launched the Library Lounge, “a moveable feast of events and celebrations all around Seattle that combine literature and libations.”  It is not immediately obvious to me how this fits with the mission of the Seattle Public Library , but why should that stand in the way of supporting the Library and a local business.  The Floating Bridge Brewery alerted us the following events from the Booktoberfest events that are part of the Library Lounge Series.
