We are pleased to announce the Wallingford Farmers Market is back, every Wednesday 3-7 pm, starting May 28th, in the same great location and featuring wonderful vendors. Located in Meridian Park at the corner of Meridian Avenue N and N 50th Street, the Wallingford Farmers Market has been recognized by the Washington State Farmers Markets Association (WSFMA) as one of the best farmers markets in the state.

In addition to the market’s farm-fresh offerings, shoppers at Wallingford can enjoy sweet summer treats and prepared foods, with plenty of space to picnic under the apple trees, run around on the …

Stone’s Throw Coffee Shop and Market Grand Opening

lbush May 15, 2025 1 Comment

On Monday, April 21st, Wallingford celebrated the opening of a new coffee shop and market, Stone’s Throw Coffee, in the location of the former Bounty on the northwest corner of Stone Way N and N 45th Street, in the heart of Wallingford.

Jeff is well known in Wallingford as …

Support Local Florist Shops for Mother’s Day

lbush May 6, 2025 Leave a Comment

Wallingford is blessed to have two full-service florists serving the community. One is Cedarhouse Flowers, located at 1621 N 45th Street, and the second is Hansen’s Florist Shop, at 4606 Stone Way N. Cedarhouse Flowers was established in 2014 and is named for the cedar-sided garage where it all started. Since the shop was opened, the culture has remained the same: they make lush, unusual arrangements with heart. …

Elders Protecting Our Constitution

lbush April 25, 2025 1 Comment

Not a day goes by that there isn’t a new disturbing report about changes implemented or approved by the new presidential administration. One only needs to see the mostly downward trend in the stock market, numerous reports of a recession on the horizon, inflation continuing unabashed, significant layoffs across the federal workforce, and associated negative effects on local communities and businesses. Already approved federal funding across multiple federal agencies is being stopped. Previously eradicated measles is on the rise. USAID has been disbanded, there is a potential interruption in social security benefits, and decreased access and long delays in contacting…
