On Monday, April 21st, Wallingford celebrated the opening of a new coffee shop and market, Stone’s Throw Coffee, in the location of the former Bounty on the northwest corner of Stone Way N and N 45th Street, in the heart of Wallingford.

Prior to the opening, I sat down with Jeff Lindstrom, who owns the shop along with his wife, Renee. This will be a true family-run business, as their children, Sonja and Bea, will also be supporting the shop. Additionally, Holly Jenkins, former manager of Bounty, was brought in as manager.

The Wallingford Community Council (WCC) of Seattle is a neighborhood voice representing the greater Wallingford community in interactions with city government on land use, transportation, and parks. WCC has been advocating for Wallingford for decades.

Wallingford is blessed to have two full-service florists serving the community. One is Cedarhouse Flowers, located at 1621 N 45^th Street, and the second is Hansen’s Florist Shop, at 4606 Stone Way N.
