Meridian Playground Play Area Improvements: Project Update

lbush January 23, 2025 Comments are off

In April 2024, Seattle Parks & Recreation began a public engagement process for renovating the play area at Meridian Playground.  This project aims to make site improvements to the play area located within the western half of the former Home of Good Shepherd property. Most components of the play area were constructed in the early 1980s, and revised in 2002, and some equipment was replaced through a Neighborhood Matching Fund project in 2011. Several elements/features within the play area such as existing play equipment, art paving, play area ramps, custom-made v  slides, and rubber tiles need to be renovated or…

A Message from Murphy’s Pub

Chelley and Eamonn from our favorite Wallingford Irish Pub, Murphy’s Pub, would like to share their holiday plans for their beloved watering hole. Christmas Eve will find them open at noon and closed at 4pm, and closed Christmas Day. December 31st, New Year Eve will open at 11a.m. and ring in the New Year Eve in Ireland at 4pm Seattle time— always something clever to celebrate at Murphy’s. Enjoy family fun and a toast to the New Year in Ireland at 4pm with music from That Irish Guy.

lbush December 8, 2024 1 Comment

Over 45 years ago, Bill and Ann Evans opened their family owned and managed retail store dedicated to the sale of products made in and inspired by the Pacific Northwest. In 2017, they opened the shop’s Seattle location in the Wallingford neighborhood at 4411 Wallingford Ave. N. A year later, Matt and Cédric took over as owners.  Today, they work with hundreds of suppliers to …
