I am a recent transplant to the Seattle area from Philadelphia. I love my Seattle neighborhood,and have recently been part of the newly formed Historic Wallingford nonprofit organization. I would like to be able to post on their behalf.

Historic Wallingford members, family, and friends are cordially invited to our first potluck picnic at the Meridian Playground pavilion on Saturday, August 11 from 4 to 7 PM.

Please bring a potluck dish to share, your preferred beverage (alcohol is not allowed in Seattle parks), and a lawn chair. We’ll provide table service (plates, silverware, napkins, and cups), a cooler with water, and cake for dessert.

Walk with Historic Wallingford in the Family Parade

Join us on  Saturday, July 14, as we walk in the 69thannual Wallingford Family Parade – Seattle’s oldest parade! For years, this event was known as the Wallingford Kiddie Parade and has long been affiliated with Seattle’s summer festival – Seafair.

Bagpipers parading down 45th Street – many parades ago.
