Murphy’s on Thanksgiving

So what do you have planned for Thanksgiving Day, Wallingford (besides joining me and a crew of your neighbors at the JSIS playground for a disorganized game of kickball and hot toddies?) In case you don't have it sussed out yet, take heart in the fact that Ireland does not celebrate Thanksgiving! Thus, Murphy's Irish Pub  will be open Thanksgiving Day starting at 11 am, with a full service menu until 4 pm and limited menu after that from the kitchen.…

3D Printing Comes to Wallingford

Guttenberg. Wedgwood. Daguerre. Edison. Bell. Seitzer. The next world-changing advance is 3D printing: using a computer-controlled dispensing head that slowly, meticulously builds up a 3D design into a 3D object, 3D printers promise to open up new possibilities across an dizzying spectrum of domains. Need a part for your washing machine? Found Bikes

I was afraid that too many of us walk from our front doors to our cars, off to work, home again, and never have a chance to meet and talk. Dialogue, whether about "important" topics like laws and taxes and schools and land use or "unimportant"…

From the Seattle Parks and Rec: Seattle Parks and Recreation began construction this week on the Lower Woodland Park ballfields at Green Lake Way N & N 50th St. The work will replace ballfield lighting and provide other ballfield upgrades.
