KIRO ran a piece earlier this week about the intersection at NE 42nd and Thackeray, where drivers are apparently either ignoring or not seeing the stop sign. Meet Julia’s New Neighbor, Seattle Espresso

After sampling some delicious shortbread, Wallyreader Frankie tipped us off to the grand re-opening of the coffee shop/bakery adjacent to Julia's. Hungry for some baked goods, I stopped by the new Seattle Espresso and nibbled a tasty chocolate/espresso/salted caramel shortbread cookie while friendly manager Scott gave me the low-down. Art Walk

Wallingford Art Walk, continuing it's "second Wednesday of the month" schedule, returns from 6 - 9 pm this Wednesday. Colleen Kurke will be hosting  local metal artist Jason Stahl and his boat sculptures at Cutz Meridian (4515 Meridian Ave N).
