I Taste Victory!

Bottleworks on 45th features beer tastings every Monday from 5 pm – 7 pm for a nominal $1 fee (it’s illegal to give away beer in Washington State). Tonight’s tasting features brews from the Victory Brewery. Sez the Bottleworks blog:

We aren’t 100% on the full beer lineup but expect to see their Hop Devil, Prima Pils, Golden Monkey, and Storm King Stout. Other may include Moonglow Weizenbock, Hop Wallop, Baltic Thunder, Old Horizontal (likely), V-12, and V-Saison.

Wallyhood can’t shake the feeling that we went to shul with a girl named Moonglow Weizenbock.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    As someone now living in Ballard who grew up next to Victory Brewing in Downingtown, PA, I wish I knew about your blog a day earlier!
