Bottleworks 10th Anniversary

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is Bottleworks’ 10th anniversary, and they’re celebrating by releasing dozens of unique, cellared beers and specials, including New Belgium Bottleworks 10th Anniversary Wild Ale (2 bottle limit per customer / day), Hair of the Dog Matt (4 bottle limit), Elysian Icarus, Far West, Rogue Issaquah, Russian River Deviation and tons more. They recommend getting there at their 11 a.m. opening to get the good stuff. This is a beer nerd event, though, so rumors that the first 10 customers will be treated to keg stands are likely untrue.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    As the mom of a kid who was so afraid of the trolls that used to be in the window that she wouldn’t even go near that block, I would like to thank Bottleworks for taking them out of the window so I can actually shop there!
