Greenwood Art Walk

  • Post author:

Until the Wallingford Art Walk returns, we’ll have to get our art fix by walking to our neighbor neighborhoods. Tonight, it’s Greenwood-Phinney’s turn with Art Up/Open Up.

Now, for the Obligatory Wallingford Content, visit former Bottleworks manager (and, we’re told, “lifetime Bottleworks Air Jordan historian”) Kevin “Sensei 23 projux” Sullivan at Naked City Tap House(8564 Greenwood Ave N), where he’ll be having a reception. The Bottleworks blog tells us that

Kevin is part of the hot mural painting squad Matamuros (Jill Rothenberger and Zachary Bohnekamp, also members of Matamuros, will have their art featured as well) whose artwork is popping up on and in businesses all over the city and beyond. The reception starts at 7PM so cruise on by, grab a pint and check ’em out.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
