Mushroom Extravaganza

Though this is not strictly Wallyhood news, Sunday is a slow news day, so we’ll give it to them. Chef Dustin (normally serving at Art of Table on 39th by Gasworks) writes:

Hello, people! Just letting you know that there are still spaces left for Chef Dustin’s Mushroom Goodness menu at Culinary Communion tonight. If you are looking for some good food and good fun sign up now…Join Chef Dustin as he kicks off Culinary Communion’s inaugural Muse Symposium demonstration class. Chef D will be creating a five-course meal featuring wild mushrooms. (This event is not a class, it’s a 5-course mushroom extravaganza!!)

Sunday, February 8 at 6:30 pm, at Culinary Communion on Beacon Hill. Cost for Muse is $60 per person. Wines by the glass can be purchased at the event. 206.551.2598 or click to register.

And now, to add to your confusion, we present this flashback to a flashback, Badger, Badger, Mushroom:

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
