Actually, Rancho Brava had a location in Kirkland at a gas station before it opened here. I used to work out that way and stopped in for lunch a few times a week. When they first opened it it was me and a handful of Mexicans eating there, after a few months word got out and it was packed. Then one day about a year later I showed up and it was gone, awning and everything. I ran into the gas station to ask what happened and the lady indicated they were evicted. They got so popular that people were parking in front of the gas pumps and the station was losing money. I was overjoyed when I saw them at Winchell’s but I live in fear every day that the same thing will happen.
I noticed a gleaming new trailer in the Golden Oldies lot, does this have something to do w/ this? Or maybe they’re just upgrading – it does seem that someone’s doing well in this economy… maybe the secret is spicy pork burritos.
