Phinney Garage Sale Day (mini)

Word from Christine on the GLM list (and confirmed on the PNA site) is that the annual Phinney Neighbhorhood Garage Sale day has been postponed until September this year due to bad weather in past years. However, tomorrow (Saturday, April 18), some upstart, don’t-need-no-stinkin’-official-day Phinnians are holding a garage sale day, anyway. Full list of the dozen or so houses participating on their Craigslist ad:

628 NW 84th St
308 N. 77th St.
161 & 165 NW 73rd
704 NW 73rd St
6752 9th Ave NW (near 70th and 9th)
a number of homes in the 6500 block of Sycamore Ave NW
707 N 60th Street
At least 5 homes between 51st and 52nd on Greenwood Ave. N
Several homes in the area of 355 NW 47th St

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
