More boozin’ at Bottleworks

Bottleworks (1710 N 45th St.) has updated its digs. From their blog:

Today was an exciting day here at Bottleworks. After months of anticipation, the much-rumored taps are flowing. No longer are we just a beer store–now you can also drink a glass or two from our five draft selections before choosing beers to take home. And if you’re craving a beer we don’t have on tap, grab any bottle from one of the coolers and have it here for a small corkage fee.

Here’s what’s on tap right now:

Pliny the Elder (who died in the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius that buried Pompeii), was known for saying “True glory consists in doing what deserves to be written; in writing what deserves to be read” We honor him by drinking what deserves to be drunk.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

Great quotes – and very interesting sounding beers … sufficiently enticing that I think I’ll head over there soon.

I didn’t see a link to their blog [post], but I wonder if they have the Stone Brewing 11th Anniversary “Self-Righteous” Ale that I just saw recently at a Whole Foods market … I’ve been waiting two years for this to make it up to Seattle!

This is great news. Any idea if they’ve added table or counter space?

This makes me even more excited about this summer’s trip to Seattle and visiting the best place west of Saugatuck Michigan for buying regional beer.
