Who is Caspar Babypants? WHO IS CASPAR BABYPANTS?

Not a character from the Nickelodeon version of The Usual Suspects, as we at first believed, but the nom d’enfant of Chris Bellew, lead singer of indie rock band and home town heros The Presidents of the United States of America. Looks like he’s sidelined indie rock and is taking a turn at producing kids music.

Wallyhood Tipster Jenny T. clued us in that he’ll be at the children’s book store Alphabet Soup (1406 N 45th St) this Saturday, May 16 at 1 pm, performing songs from his debut “Here I Am!” You can preview the music on his web site, www.babypantsmusic.com.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
