More Trouble on Latona

Several neighbors have reported that the scene was repeated this past Friday night, with witnesses describing a car speeding away from the melee, gun out the window, shots firing in the air.

Apparently, these two incidents, amazing and out-of-place in Wallingford as they are, are actually part of a larger pattern and history of events associated with the house.

Obviously, this can’t be allowed to continue. A commenter on the previous post noted that the occupants of the house are University of Washington students and that the owner is the father of one of the residents. The commenter did a bit of on-line legwork and included his name and contact information, public information.

Neighbors are discussing the appropriate reaction, but there is a consensus that this was the final straw, and it must not be allowed to continue.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
