Art Walk

As you may remember from the recent Date Night post, tomorrow, being the first Wednesday of the month, is Wallingford Art Walk from 6 – 9 pm. We understand there’s a shuttle that leaves from Wallingford Center starting at 6:30 pm and visits several locations (Mosaic Coffeehouse, Oasis Gallery, etc.) before returning to Wallingford Center an hour and a half later.

4247_1069897791970_1361853226_203517_1634212_nThere will also be a live band, Ruby’s Basement Jazz Quartet, playing at Wallingford Center from 6:30 – 7:30 pm and clowns roaming the streets (we’ll let you decide whether that’s a plus or a minus). Lots to do.

Trophy Cupcakes in Wallingford Center will be continuing their cupcake-themed art series with “Robots and Cupcakes” by Jessixa Bagley (no word on whether she’s related to the street).

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
