Sustainable Wallingford Meeting

Cathy Tuttle writes:

Sustainable Wallingford members will gather Saturday, June 13, from 10 to noon at member Cathy Tuttle’s house at 4412 Corliss Ave N. (our regular meeting place Mosaic Community Coffee House, has limited summer hours).

Cathy will have coffee and tea and asks people coming to the gathering to bring something fresh and local for brunch.

We’ll talk about the many projects we are working on together including the neighborhood power project, community fruit tree harvesting, and growing food growing community. Cathy would also like to share stories from her visits to Sustainable Wallingford UK, the London Transition Town Conference and permaculture training, and the Scandinavian Green Roof Jubilee, and the Copenhagen Local Government Climate Conference.

Hope to see you this coming weekend! — Cathy

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
